Hey, been a while.

Back in August I got hit by a car on a bike ride.  I’m ok.  Nothing was broken and I even rode my bike home.  However, there are some issues with my shoulder now that are impacting my drawing time.  I’m working out a lot to loosen whatever scar tissue is in there and get my full range of motion back while also alleviating my carpal tunnel symptoms.  It’s working and I’m getting back to the comic.  However, I’m going to stop with the “next page on this date” for the foreseeable future.  I’m just gonna be honest, I’m slow as molasses when it comes to drawing and I need to be faster to make any traction with this project.  For now, expect this chapter to be wrapped up by the end of the year.  There are 3 more pages for chapter 1.

There is a paid comic project that is starting to materialize for Q1 2026 and I’m pretty pumped about it.  I can’t provide many details, but it’s about nano robotics and healthcare technologies and is aims to get high school kids interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).  BLACK will be on hold if and when that project starts.  Chapter 2 of BLACK is mostly outlined and I’ve started writing the granular details of the scrip. Then I’ll start layouts and move to pencils and inks when Jamie (bottomlesscoffin) approves.

I’m hoping to have a chapter 1 printed next year for conventions. Next update soon.

Love ya,
